Since its launch in 2015, the Partir en Livre festival has become an essential event to encourage reading among young people in the country. This festival aims to democratize reading by taking books out of libraries and bringing them directly to young people’s leisure spaces, in order to transmit to them the pleasure of reading in a fun way.

Free and accessible to all, the Partir en Livre festival offers a host of activities, including meetings with authors, literary events, immersive readings, illustration and writing workshops, drawing concerts, and even more.

On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the festival is taking place in parks, libraries and various other places in Marseille. Young people are invited to discover the magic of reading through activities, shows, readings and meetings with authors throughout the city.

The festival takes over Marseille parks

The program for this edition promises to be particularly rich: creative workshops, origami and drawing with youth illustrators, as well as numerous reading sessions. In addition, this year, a large number of activities are organized in several parks in the City of Marseille, offering a perfect opportunity to enjoy the sun with a good book or by participating in fun activities. The activities are designed for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest.

On Tuesday June 25 and Wednesday June 26, Partir en Livre is set up in the Porte de la Mirabelle park, discover the program for the two days in the park.
