From June 28 to 30, the Lucens Classique festival offers three concerts with the Italian pianist Vanessa Benelli Mosell, the Swiss flautist of the Berliner Philharmoniker Sébastian Jacot and a musical-gourmet show entitled “The Improvised Musical Comedy”.

As with its previous editions, the Lucens Classique festival celebrates art, culture, gastronomy and conviviality. Over three days, from June 28 to 30, the event promises an extraordinary experience in the Château de Lucens, which is not usually accessible to the public.

This festival was born from the crush of two friends, the violinist Guillaume Jacot and the conductor Guillaume Berney. “With my friend Guillaume Berney, we had this idea of creating a multisensory concept which perhaps allows people to introduce themselves to classical music concerts with top artists, because we do not want to compromise on artistic quality”, explains violinist Guillaume Jacot in the 12:30 p.m. of June 27.

On the menu for the fourth edition of this small festival with great ambitions are three concerts, notably with the Italian pianist with an international career Vanessa Benelli-Mosell, the Swiss flautist of the Berliner Philharmoniker Sébastian Jacot and a musical-gourmet show, “The musical comedy improvised. The latter, lasting 80 minutes, will accompany a brunch prepared by chef Xavier Bats, the organizers specify in a press release.

Friendliness and proximity

The festival – which likes to repeat that it wants to highlight the “enchanting setting” of the Château de Lucens – always willingly mixes music, gastronomy, wine tasting, poetry, exhibitions and visits for a “recital of the senses”. The Lucens Classique also focuses on conviviality and the possibility of meeting the artists.

“There is the constraint of the location, we cannot really exceed the capacity of 150-160 people. This forces us to welcome people and keep them there by offering them music, poetry, gastronomy and different entertainment until the end of the night It’s a very interesting way to offer a more global experience than a concert”, underlines Guillaume Jacot.

As for the gastronomic aspect, elaborate dishes are served before and after the concerts. In addition, there is an exhibition by Thierry Raboud, poet, musician and literary journalist, Leenaards Prize 2023. Note that the public can also spend one or two nights on site, within the Château farm.
