A complicated start to your stay… As winter approaches, Alicia Mahé, emblematic candidate for the sixth season of Married at first sightwent to Marrakech for a relaxing getaway. Alas, what was supposed to be a relaxing break quickly turned into a nightmare due to the difficulties linked to his invisible disability.

This Monday, November 11, 2024, the nurse recognized as disabled since a tragic road accident that cost the life of her sister spoke on social networks. In particular, she denounced the attitude of a family she met upon her arrival in Morocco.

Alicia's rant (Married at First Sight)

Unable to stand for too long, the young woman asked them to let her pass, presenting her disability card, a request that the group refused.

I have my rights so I go to the priority line because my card passes, but it is also a line for families. In front of the families, there are disabled people who pass, in wheelchairs and with a cane, except that those without a wheelchair and without a cane are not allowed to pass… So me I fought my whole life to get out of my wheelchair only to be treated like shit “, she said in front of the camera before adding: “I show my disabled card, because it's very, very long and there is a person who says to me: 'I don't give a damn about your disabled card'and he gets nasty“.

And the troubles didn't stop there. After waiting like everyone else in the line despite the pain, it was the controllers who took Alicia to task.

Malicious controllers

The controllers, once I go through customs, they do not accept Laura who is my escort. They say Laura has to go back to waiting in line…“, she explained with tears in her eyes.

And to continue: “I am making videos for my fight and the fight of people with invisible disabilities. Do you realize what we are going through because it cannot be seen? What do you want? That I show you my body and all my scars? You people are shitty people who don't understand that disability isn't just about the wheelchair, fuck you!

Luckily, Alicia ended up crossing paths with a benevolent controller, who agreed to grant her priority passage with her friend. Since this welcome boost, she can now enjoy her vacation under the sun without any problem!
