A victory is very often accompanied by criticism. Especially in TV shows. And Alexis, winner of season 12 of Secret Story this Tuesday, June 18, don’t escape it.
The candidate won the TF1 game after eight weeks of adventure. Against him, his three opponents were little or no match for him. Alexis in fact collected 49% of the votes, compared to 41% for Lou. The last two finalists, Léo and Maxence, were much less threatening, with only 7% and 3% of the votes. But these figures, and therefore this result, did not seem to suit certain Internet users.
“Secret Story”: votes influenced by its 4 million subscribers?
Many have in fact claimed that the votes had been manipulated, in particular thanks to the very large Alexis community. The young man was in fact already known before his participation in Secret Story.
On TikTok, he can notably boast of having more than 4 million followers. A few hours before the final, those close to him had also published a story on his Snapchat account to call for a vote, unlike his opponents.
Some people were offended by this lack of fairness, like the influencer Hilona Gos. “I just saw on Insta who won Secret Story. It’s not fair. I wanted it to be my queen Lou. Here is somewhat easy to win by having 4 million subscribers. I don’t think that’s fair, that’s what it says”wrote the young mother in an Instagram story on June 19, joining the opinions of other Internet users.
He assures that his community is not French
In the columns of Parisian Today, however, Alexis wanted to make things clear. “I have lived in England for seven years, so my community is British and American, not French at all. I can understand that we might have found it unfair on paper, but I think we could see over the weeks that it had no impact. »
The young man, like his comrades, was convinced that Lou was going to win the adventure. “I had prepared myself for all eventualities but I was still quite shocked when Christophe Beaugrand said my name because we all expected Lou to win. She had quite an adventure from the start. We suspected that her clan was going to be highlighted, and that she was therefore going to have a lot of support”explains Alexis, who nevertheless does not deny his pleasure at being the big winner of the season.
