This is where Daniel, before dying, hid it. She finds him in Apolline’s room, asleep, and slips away. Then, Steve notices that she is holding a bag that she didn’t have the day before. He grabs it and takes a look inside: it contains Apolline’s mask! Pressed, Camille then reveals to him that the artifact is not a copy but in fact the original! Steve, hurt at having been fooled by her, says he wants to return the mask to the police. Camille then points a gun at him. Then she admits to having killed Daniel during the evening. She did this to retrieve the mask and bring it back to Mexico. At the police station, Ariane announces to Patrick that Jean-Paul has left the hideout in front of Camille Martin’s home. Surveillance was unsuccessful and reporting was ineffective. Patrick then receives the Interpol file concerning Camille Martin, or rather Paula Delgado. Ariane and he then realize that she is the daughter of the Minister of Justice of Mexico! They decide to go there, disregarding the instructions given by Patrick.
At the end of the day, Camille Martin is about to enter the consulate. But she is caught at the last moment by Zoé, who catches her. She manages to free herself from the hold. Jean-Paul and Ariane then arrive, weapons in hand. But it is too late: Camille crosses the threshold of the consulate. She is now on Mexican soil, unreachable for the cops. Jean-Paul and Ariane are furious. Zoé is jubilant. She stole the mask from Camille without her realizing it!
