THE best friends are now enemies.
In the series Un si grand soleil on France 3, Elisabeth et
Catherine now hate each other. The two interpreters confided in The two of us. “They attended the same college. After their studies, they lost touchthen found each other.” explains Chrystelle Labaude, alias Elisabeth.
However, both remain businesswomen: “I have to hard to tell me that they were really friends
because as soon as business interferes, everyone fiercely protects their territory without really caring about the other.”
A complicated relationship: from love to hate
Indeed, according to Smadi Wolfman, the relationship is very
ambivalent. “I would say it's a
love and hate relationship. I have the feeling that there is a deep connection between them. I imagined that their fathers were rivals in business and that the daughters had taken over.” she says.
However, the two characters remain close: “Catherine sees Elizabeth as a big sister who is always one step ahead. She has
revenge to take on her.“ This can bring misunderstandings for the viewer. “If we are not careful, the viewer can questioning resentment and anger. You have to follow the hairpin turns carefully to understand the complexity of their relationship.”
Is a reconciliation possible between Elisabeth and Catherine?
