What happened in the last season ofCriminal minds ?
In season 16, the profilers of the DSC (behavioral sciences department), within the FBI, came up against a new, particularly tough antagonist. Without knowing his identity, they had to track down a man who had spent the Covid-19 pandemic setting up a real network of serial killers. This suspect turns out to be a certain Elias Voit. He succeeds in leading the team of profilers into a trap that ends very badly for FBI Deputy Director Bailey. Season 17, the first episode of which aired June 6 on Paramount+, picks up right there. The team led by Emily Prentiss manages to trace the thread of the story set up by Voit. But now, taken prisoner, he negotiates to be transferred to a federal prison, under the nose of the DSC.
