This Saturday, November 2, 2024, the academicians were on stage for the fourth bonus. But from the start of the evening, one detail particularly bothered viewers.
Having your destiny linked to another person forces complicity. This week, the students of the Star Academy surpassed themselves by working in pairs to pass their assessments. Marguerite with Ebony, Charles with Noah, Franck with Julie, Masseo and Emma, Thomas with Maïa and finally Ulysses and Maïa. The latter two found themselves nominated while other students were largely rewarded. A concert with Slimane for Maureen and a performance with David Guetta at the NRJ Music Awards for Emma and Masseo. After a week full of emotions, it was during the prime that the students gave themselves over by opening the evening with their anthem.
A disturbing sound problem
Then, it was Charles and Noah who took the microphone to join Patrick Fiori, in order to interpret Bellean emblematic title from the musical Notre-Dame de Paris. If the students brilliantly took up the challenge, despite some problems with “respiration” pointed out by Sofia Morgavi. They left the stage to other comrades and it was Emma and Masseo who came to take over. Barely recovered from their evening at the NRJ Music Awards, they changed with Hatik. They gave voice to his emblematic title Angela. They were there and yet, on these two performances, Internet users noticed a big hiccup.
It is not the students who are to blame, but rather a technical detail. When the students began to sing, their voices were barely audible, leading viewers on Twitter to comment that there was a sound issue. “I wonder if there isn't a general sound problem?” writes one Internet user, while another specifies: “Play the instrumental even louder no, their voices are drowned out”. Many of them noticed it and this is obviously not the first time as this viewer suggests: “But the sound is even worse than usual tonight.” A problem probably noticed by the students, who regularly touched their earbuds, giving the sensation that there was a malfunction.
No bonus next week
After this bonus evening, there will be no bonus from the Star Academy on Saturday November 9, 2024 due to an adjustment to the TF1 schedule to broadcast the France-Japan match, as part of the fall tour of the XV of France. This highly anticipated meeting, which will take place at the Stade de France, takes the usual place of the Star Academy in programming. To compensate, the premium of the Star Academy is brought forward to Friday November 8. This change imposes a more intense pace on academics, who will have to prepare in a shorter time than usual to deliver performances that meet the public's expectations.
