Achraf Dari gets closer to leaving for Romania

The Moroccan international Achraf Dari, pushed by the exit by Stade Brestois, is of interest to Rapid Bucharest in Romania. After a successful loan with Sporting de Charleroi, the Atlas Lion could move to Eastern Europe this summer.

With the transfer period having started this week, Achraf Dari is already at the center of discussions for a possible transfer. According to Romanian media, Rapid Bucharest are very interested in the player.

The GSP newspaper, renowned in Romania, reports that Rapid leaders are looking to strengthen their defense with a new central defender. Dari, loaned by Brest to Sporting de Charleroi in Belgium, perfectly matches the profile sought by the Romanian club.

The same source indicates that negotiations have already started between Bucharest and the player, and that if all goes well, the Moroccan should be presented in the coming days.

This transfer would place Achraf Dari in one of the most prestigious teams in Liga I. Rapid Bucharest has 20 titles on the national scene, including three championships, thirteen Romanian Cups and four Romanian Super Cups.

Arriving in the summer of 2022 in Brittany from Wydad, the 25-year-old defender has never given full satisfaction. Lacking playing time with Stade Brestois, 119 minutes played in four matches out of 19 possible, the native of Casablanca joined Sporting de Charleroi on loan mid-last season. With the Zebras, the Moroccan only missed three of the twelve possible matches due to a minor injury and scored three goals.

Returning without a purchase option in the northwest of France, Dari does not appear to fit into coach Éric Roy’s plans for next season, forcing him to look for a new club.
