A well-known Thudinian figure, Marie-Paule Coppée is one of these positive people. She enjoys life to the fullest despite a handicap that has confined her to her wheelchair for almost nine years, since this stroke which paralyzed her entire left side.

That day, she saw death up close. “I came very close to her, she didn’t want me and I sent her back where she came from,” she told us at the time of the publication of her first book entitled “Putain de chemin”. In this work, she recounted her journey since this accident.

Marie-Paule Coppée returns to us with, this time, “Méli-mélo de pearls de vie”, a book which has just been published by Edilivres and constitutes a bit of a continuation of her previous work. “It is a daily testimony to raise awareness among able-bodied people of the daily difficulties that people with disabilities encounter in their mobility,” she confides. She drew inspiration from meeting people with disabilities (or not). Testimonies tinged with respect and strength to get through these trials of life.

On the cover of this “Hodgepodge of pearls of life” there is an hourglass prominently featured. The author explains: “It symbolizes patience and also embodies resilience.” The patience that is now required on a daily basis to achieve the most common things in life in a journey of reconstruction.

“Méli-Mélo de pearls de vie” is on sale from the author at the price of €11 (0474/44.91.47)
