The 7e edition of the festival for teenagers Des livres & moi around the written word and books will take place in Malagar, Saint-Maixant (Gironde) and Langon, from May 15 to 18, 2024. Meetings of writers, video game demos, exhibition and battle

manga, musical reading, slam workshop and dance show…

Meetings, workshops, reading, dancing…

This very young festival highlights stories that speak to adolescents (but not only), whatever the medium or form, and offers:

  • meetings with authors
  • slam workshops led by Maras
  • video game demos with ENJMIN (the national video game school)
  • a musical reading with Benoît Séverac and Jean-Paul Raffit
  • a whole program with French mangaka Hachin (Polar Prize at the festival), Eruthoth and Yoann Le Scoul
  • and finally a contemporary dance duo with Mélanie Giffard and Yves Mwanba

Stories in all their forms

“The challenge of the festival is rather to think that teenagers, like their parents, are all different, with their doubts, their dreams, their sorrows, their anger and their humor too. But whatever our age and our differences, we all like to be told stories… So for three days, make way for stories in Malagar,” says Marie-Sylvie Bitarelle, director of the François Mauriac Center in Malagar, in a communicated.

“Stories to read in paper books, stories to play and invent on screens and keyboards, stories drawn with lots of bubbles, theatrical stories, stories read aloud, stories that slam, in short stories for all tastes.”
