Viewers got to see real-life participants take on the evil games in Netflix’s reality show, “Squid Game: The Challenge.” And now the original phenomenon is back.
A star-studded cast for a new season
For this new season, the cast will include a mix of familiar characters and newcomers. The rising star Lee Jung-jaewho will also star in the new Star Wars series “The Acolyte,” will reprise his role as Seong Gi-hun, the protagonist of the first season and ultimate winner of the deadly competition.
Other returning cast members include Lee Byung-hun as the games’ sinister leader, the Front Man, and Gong Yoo in the role of the anonymous seller who recruits players for the games.
The plot of season 2 of “Squid Game”
The second season of “Squid Game” will see Seong Gi-hun continue to attempt to end the deadly games. The official Netflix synopsis states:

A series that promises many twists and turns
The second season promises to be as captivating as the first. Lee Jung-jae told RadioTimes.com that the storyline of season 2 is ‘even more interesting’ than the first. He also mentioned that this new season is full of twists and turns.
Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk also made reference to the possibility of bringing back characters who died in the first season, suggesting that season 2 could incorporate flashbacks or surprises regarding the events of the first season.
