No season 2 for the series but there is good news

All good things come to an end, even if it hurts a little sometimes. Arrived discreetly on Prime Video, the k-drama No profit, no love (No Gain No Love) has managed to find a place in the hearts of Internet users who have discovered it. On Tele-Leisureseveral of them declared their love for this “little nugget” little-known from South Korea, which ranked in the world top of Prime Video. After 12 episodes, the story of Son Hae-yeong and Kim Ji-uk ends this Tuesday, October 1 on the Amazon platform. If the farewells obviously promise to be moving for this series which contains a completely hilarious but censored scene, there is still good news for all fans.

No profit, no love : a season 2 is not on the program but…

In South Korea, the fashion is not necessarily for series that last for years, even when they are hugely successful. K-dramas are in fact very often mini-series – usually composed of 16 episodes – which tell stories whose plot is completely closed. Thus, even if certain fictions panic the counters in terms of audiences, few are entitled to a sequel. We are obviously talking about series produced by local channels, since Korean fiction produced by Netflix tends to come back for new bursts, such as for example Squid Game, of which we are waiting for season 2, hellbound, who returns soon, or The Creature of Kyŏngsŏng, whose new episodes have just been posted online. Before being available on Prime Video, No profit, no love was broadcast in South Korea on the tvN channel and the series therefore only has 12 episodes, the last of which is now available on the Prime Video streaming platform. If we must therefore mourn the love story between Hae-yeong and Ji-uk, the story will, in a certain way, continue: a spin-off titled Spice Up Our Love coming very (very) soon !

Spice Up Our Love : what is the spin-off of No profit, no love ?

This new mini-series will feature two of the actors from No profit, no love : Lee Sang-yo and Han Ji-hyun. In the original series, they play Bok Gyu-hyun and Nam Ja-yeonaka Hae-yeon’s boss and adopted sister. Over the course of 12 episodes, the two characters grew closer and ended up falling in love. In Spice Up Our Lovewe will not quite follow the rest of their story: Nam Ja-yeon will actually be propelled inside the erotic novel she is writingtitled Spice Up Your Love (Spice up your love in French) in the original series. She will thus become the heroine of her fiction, and cross paths with Kang Ha-joon, the president of a company, hero of the novel. Lee Sang-yi (also seen in The hunt in blood on Netflix) will play this character.

When Spice Up Our Lovethe spin-off of No profit, no lovewill it arrive in on Prime Video?

To discover Spice Up Our LovWell, you won’t have to wait long. Prime Video will put the series online this Thursday, October 3 in Franceafter its broadcast in South Korea on the TVING platform. The continuation of No profit, no love will however only be composed of two episodes.
