A great “Ooooh” of disappointment had risen from the crowd gathered on the Place de la Navigation in Ouchy on the evening of the 1er august. The master of ceremonies had just announced the cancellation of the fireworks because of the weather,

This Friday, 17 days later, the Municipality is announcing a consolation prize that will fill this bitterness: “The population of Lausanne will be able to enjoy the fireworks that could not be set off during the celebration of the national holiday”, writes the Executive. Fires will be set from the lake at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 2.

The pyrotechnic show is part of the “Ouchy celebrates its lake” festival organized by the Société de
development of Ouchy’s interests.
