Jean-Luc Fonck is from Arlon, a city he left a long time ago. He’s our humorous poet to all and the singer of the group Sttellla.
It all started with a joke, Jean-Luc couldn’t sing and even less read a score, yet in 1975 with his lifelong accomplice, Mimi, they formed Sttellla. Jean-Luc was not always able to earn a living living from his passion, he spent many years at the Ministry of Justice.
The year 1992 was intense, Jean-Luc had to work hard and he really needed a vacation. Moreover he thinks about it, the sea, the beach, the tapas and, above all, Torremolinos, a city more occupied by the Belgians than by the Spaniards. It’s the tube, the song goes everywhere, all the time!
The Rupture with Mimi will lead to the end of the duo, but not of the group since Jean-Luc will continue the Sttellla adventure.
He sometimes binds special friendships. You may not know it but he is a personal friend of Bla Bla, the famous RTBF puppet. He also composed the music for the three albums to lyrics by Bernard Halut, Bla Bla’s dad. In 1998 the first album, “Bla-bla – La Blablaboum”, is covered in gold after three months, the children love it…
