A fire broke out in the engine room of an oil cargo ship moored in Port-La-Nouvelle (Aude), on the night of January 25 to 26. The fire was extinguished in the morning, no casualties were reported.

A fire broke out on an oil cargo ship moored in Port-La Nouvelle, in Aude, on the night of January 25 to 26.

The fire was of accidental origin, according to information from the Aude prefecture. There were no casualties.

The fire is believed to have started in the engine room of the foreign ship. 55 firefighters were mobilized, according to the Aude firefighters. The fire was extinguished early in the morning.

Smoke extraction and control work was still in progress following this fire.
