The Videotron Center will welcome the Senators next fall with a game against the Canadiens

Last October, we reported to you that according to Francois Gagnon from RDS, after 7 years of absence in Quebec, the Canadian will return to the region and will play at least one pre-season game against the Ottawa Senators in the National Capital next fall at the end of the month of september.

Everything indicates that the official announcement will be made tomorrow and in addition to a match against the Canadiens, Quebec will host the for a portion of their training camp and another match in addition to the one against the CH.

Unlike what they did with the Los Angeles Kings last fall, this time the government will not be involved in financing these events.

We remember that the subsidy of 7 million announced by the Minister of Finance Eric Girard for the Los Angeles Kings’ four-day training camp at the Videotron Center, had been the talk of the town.

Bruce Garrioch just confirmed the news:

The Videotron Center in Quebec has called a press conference tomorrow morning with the owner of the #Sens, Michael Andlauer. The club is expected to play two exhibition games, including one against Montreal, and hold part of its training camp there. No funding from the Quebec government is planned.
