25 years of imprisonment required for the murder of Virginie Deloeuil

The public prosecutor requested a sentence of 25 years of criminal imprisonment against Jason Faix this Friday, January 24, 2025 before the Vienne Assize Court. He has been on trial since the day before, Thursday, for the murder of his neighbor, Virginie Deloeuil, 45 years old. The victim’s body was found several days later by the firefighters, called by the Buxerolloise’s daughter, on July 8, 2021.

Jason Faix explained to the court that he went to her house on the night of June 30 to 1^is July to claim a drug debt. The tone rose, she slapped him and he strangled her.

Probationary suspension for the fraud

He and his ex-partner are also being prosecuted for fraud, because he left the apartment with Virginie Deloeuil’s credit card and code, then making purchases and withdrawals with it.

The experts, psychologist and psychiatrist, pointed out impulsive, unstable, fragile and narcissistic traits in the two accused. He is not intrinsically violent but can become dangerous when he uses drugs. He had full discernment at the time of the events and does not suffer from post-traumatic syndrome.

In its submissions, the public prosecutor recalled that she faces five years for this offense of fraud. Whether or not she knew the victim was dead, “she didn’t have permission” to use the credit card. The attorney general requested 18 months in full with a probationary suspension for two years, pointing out his behavior at the hearing.

“A painful death”

Jason Faix, for his part, admitted the murder. “The offense is very violent: strangulation with bare hands, a painful death. »

And his fragility in the face of drugs is “worrying” for his dangerousness when he gets out. The attorney general requested 25 years of criminal imprisonment with socio-judicial monitoring for ten years upon his release.
