Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone Thursday with the parents of Emily Damari, Doron Steinbrecher and Romi Gonen, who were released by Hamas on Sunday. They urged the head of government to do everything in his power to repatriate all other captives still in Hamas jails in the Gaza Strip.
“We have not given up and we will not give up on others,” Netanyahu responded in a recording of the call that was released by the prime minister’s office.
Merav Leshem Gonen, Romi’s mother, thanked him for doing “something moral and responsible, for having the courage” to bring them back to Israel.

She added that the three ex-hostages, young women, are beginning to recover and that their dearest wish is to see the rest of their unfortunate brothers and sisters return.
Simona Steinbrecher, Doron’s mother, told Netanyahu that “we are asking you on behalf of Doron, we are begging you not to stop – everyone needs to be with their family.”
Mandy, Emily’s mother, speaking in English, thanked the Prime Minister “for finally signing a ceasefire agreement, I know it took a lot of courage, but it was so important to find Emily, and all the hostages must feel as happy as we do today. »
