This Thursday, January 23, around 2:25 p.m., a thick cloud of black smoke escaped from the garbage room at 7 rue de Zillisheim in Mulhouse.
The premises, located a stone’s throw from the front door of the seven-story building, was quickly invaded by flames. The fumes licked the facade, causing traces just above the front door.

Slowdowns but no injuries
The municipal police quickly came to regulate traffic and, for safety and to avoid smoke-related poisoning, removed the ten people at the foot of the building, while the firefighters brought the fire under control.
Residents did not need to leave their homes and no injuries were reported.
Traffic, which is rather heavy in the area due to the proximity of the Leclerc shopping center, the campus and the Diaconat Fonderie clinic, was impacted for more than 45 minutes.
The national police were also on the scene. Around ten firefighters were mobilized for the intervention.
