Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the death toll from the fire that occurred Tuesday morning in a hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort, in Bolu (west of Türkiye), now stands at 10 dead. and 32 injured, indicates the Anadolu news agency.

In a statement posted on his official social media account, Minister Yerlikaya clarified that a report regarding a fire in a hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort was received this Tuesday morning at 3:27 local time.

He added that 267 staff members from various public bodies and institutions had been mobilized to intervene on site, and that operations were continuing. Yerlikaya concluded by stating:

“Unfortunately, the number of deaths has risen to 10, while the number of injured stands at 32. I extend my condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
