Paula Badosa delivered a linear and very consistent match to dominate Coco Gauff who was clearly one of the favorites of the tournament.
Never manhandled by the American, the Spaniard was very effective in all areas of the game.
Mentally, she didn’t waver, she stayed in her bubble.
This consistency paid off (7−5, 6–4) especially as Coco didn’t seem to be having quite a big day.
Paula is therefore in the semi‐final where she could face her best friend Aryna Sabalenka.
