Lara Gut-Behrami will fight for victory this Tuesday at Kronplatz in Austria. After a good start to the race, the Ticino finished in second place in the first round. Only the Italian Federica Brignone did better. At 19 hundredths from the Transalpine, Lara Gut-Behrami made an error at the bottom, probably causing her to lose the five tenths amassed at the top. Victorious last year on this same track, the Ticino woman can clearly play for victory while her best result this winter in the discipline is a 6th place at Kranjska Gora.

Federica Brignone mastered her subject perfectly in the South Tyrolean resort even if she could have been beaten by Julia Scheib. The Austrian was eliminated just before the finish even though she had set the best intermediate time.

Giant World Cup leader Sara Hector is third at 0”27. The other Swiss women are a little further away. The Valaisanne Camille Rast is in 7th place. Wendy Holdener is in 15th place and Vanessa Kasper is in 23rd. The second round will start at 1:30 p.m.
