Until Sunday January 19, the Cheval Passion equestrian festival, now in its 39th edition, welcomes fans of horses and equestrian shows to the Avignon exhibition center. As always, the highlight is the Mane of Gold gala.
The Crinières d’or gala, the highlight of the 39th edition of the Cheval Passion festival, is accessible to lovers of fine shows as well as connoisseurs of equestrian arts, is considered the first equestrian creation show in Europe. On the program: a thousand horses, 800 breeders and breeding shows, a show with 250 exhibitors and all the new equipment for the horse and rider, 80 hours of equestrian shows and competitions (sorting of livestock, working riding and tradition, western).
Equestrian artists from Gard
This 2025 edition, with eight paintings, is no exception to the rule with the latest creation by the Gard couple from Quissac: Marie Barcelo and Pierre-Antoine Chastang, First breath.
With Cossack acrobatics and stunts, free dressage, a painting of poetry and humor, a trip to Andalusia with its riders, its music and its equestrian traditions, an original number with the association of horse breeders of Camargue breed which puts on the track: twelve pairs of horses/riders accompanied by musicians from the regional Conservatory of Grand Avignon, without forgetting the Théâtre du Centaure which continues its utopian quest: to connect the animal and the human, all the public’s tastes are satisfied.
