The first selection for the 2025 Novelists Prize

The jury of the 26^e edition of the Prix des Romancières agreed on a first selection of eight works. The deliberation took place this Wednesday, January 15 in the André Gide lounge at the Bistrot de Paris.

This distinction rewards “ a work in French-language prose, capable of reaching a wide audience through its universal character. »

A second selection will take place on February 12, followed by a vote on March 26. The name of the winner will be announced in Paris on April 9. Added to the reward is an endowment of 3,000 euros financed by the City of Saint-Louis. It will be given to the lucky winner during the inauguration of the 42^e Saint-Louis Book Forum, April 25.

Under the presidency of the woman of letters Michele Kahnthe jury of this 26^e edition consists of: Laura Alcoba, Frédérique Deghelt, Cécilia Dutter (vice-president), Anne Ghisoli (director of the Librairie Gallimard), Corinne Javelaud, Cécile Ladjali, Anaïs Roesz (director of the cultural service of Saint-Louis, representing the book club), Marie-Joséphine Strich et Camille de Peretti2024 laureate.

In 2024, Camille de Peretti won the Novelcières prize for The unknown woman in the portrait (Calmann-Lévy).
