Australian Open – Coco Gauff eliminates Jodie Burrage without incident

Semi-finalist last year on the Australian acrylic, Gauff (20 years old) won another reassuring victory after her first round against her compatriot Sofia Kenin (WTA 74), 6-3, 6-3. Since her first participation in the Australian Open in 2020, the American has experienced varying results with two round of 16 matches (2020 and 2023), an exit in the first round (2022), a second round (2021) and the 2024 semi-final. In doubles, she reached the last four in 2023.
