Moulay Hassan Daki, the King’s Attorney General at the Court of Cassation, announced today, Wednesday in Rabat, that public prosecutors have continued their roles in order to contribute to national programs aimed at reducing early marriage, in order to achieve the best interest of the child.

The Director of the Public Prosecution revealed, during his speech on the occasion of the opening of the new judicial year 2025, that the number of petitions issued by the Public Prosecution to refuse permission to marry a minor reached a total of 13,762 petitions, meaning a rate of 86% of the total requests registered during the year 2024).
