The death toll from the powerful earthquake which struck the region of Tibet, in the Himalayas, in southwest China on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, rose to 126 people, according to what the agency announced official Chinese press (Xinhua).

The agency reported that “a total of 126 people have been confirmed dead and 188 others injured so far.”
