Star Wars Outlaws: Ubisoft’s single-player game is finally at a very good price

[Deal du jour] Star Wars Outlaws may not have been unanimous upon its release, but Ubisoft’s open-world title in the universe of Star Wars is a very good single player game. At €40, it is more than recommendable.

What is this Ubisoft game in the Star Wars universe?

The best of pop culture for less than €2/month

From timeless classics to the latest hit series, the Disney+ catalog is unique. Don’t miss season 4 of The Bear or the 2025 Oscars ceremony!

The first game Star Wars truly open world is set between the events of the films The Empire Strikes Back et The Return of the Jedi. In this triple A from Ubisoft, you play Kay Vess, an outlaw, accompanied by your animal and companion Nix. The story, somewhere between a heist film and pure fan service, puts aside certain fundamental elements of the saga, such as the Jedi and lightsabers, and immerses players in a refreshing and rather well-written story.

Even if many emblematic locations are included, the settings attempt to show another side of the franchise’s universe, among five planets that can be explored by speeder. The environments are rich and regularly invite contemplation. Exploration is not put aside, however, and you will have enough to spend many hours exploring the game’s settings in an immersive universe.

At this price, is Star Wars Outlaws worth it?

Pour 40 €, Star Wars Outlaws is a very good triple A, especially since a recent update corrects one of its main defects linked to the infiltration phases. The game also offers the opportunity to participate in space battles aboard your ship, with fluid gameplay that lets you control the battles.

Apart from the open world which for once emphasizes quality rather than quantity, the title has a well thought out quest system. These can be redundant, but allow you to modify your reputation. Fortunately, it is also possible to play the game for the story, by deliberately omitting many side missions.
