Your LG TV is also preparing to become an Xbox
The announcement took place during CES in Las Vegas which is being held this week. Microsoft wants to strengthen its position in the cloud gaming market and it naturally needs more partners, especially in the world of smart TVs. An agreement was therefore concluded with the LG brand, which has a very important place in this sector.
However, no specific date has been announced regarding the arrival of Xbox Cloud Gaming on LG TVs. We simply know that this will be deployed during 2025. Microsoft adds:
« Today, we’re excited to announce our collaboration with LG Electronics to bring the Xbox app to their new LG Smart TVs by the end of the year. This means that Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to play their games directly via the Xbox app on compatible LG Smart TVs, thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) […] Very soon, LG Smart TV users will be able to explore the Gaming Portal, giving them direct access to hundreds of games from the Game Pass Ultimate catalog, including popular titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and highly anticipated releases like Avowed (scheduled for February 18, 2025). »
