Montholon. The town center project is taking shape. Fernando Dias Gonçalves, mayor of Montholon, presented his wishes on Friday at the multi-activity room of the delegated municipality of Aillant-sur-Tholon. “It’s always a period of joy but also of sadness,” he commented, alluding to the disappearance of Patrick Gendraud and Laurent Hourdry, a former director of Crédit agricole d’Aillant-sur-Tholon.
A cost estimated at one million euros
After a reminder of the projects implemented in 2024, he indicated that this new year would “continue on the same momentum”. After indicating that the town had one hundred more inhabitants since 2022, he addressed the town center project costing one million euros. “We obtained €500,000 in subsidies, including €400,000 for the place. The objective is to host a gourmet restaurant to make you want to stop and discover the shops. »
Fernando Dias Gonçalves and Sylviane Petit, deputy mayor of Aillant-sur-Tholon, then honored Louis Gamot, standard bearer of the village for twenty years, by presenting him with the commune’s plaque.
They also rewarded Marie-Jo Précy for the decoration of her house and Tiziano Thiebaut for the original decoration of his garland car which all the inhabitants of Aillant-sur-Tholon were able to admire. Estelle, Clara, Ariane, Lyly, Dylan, Thomas and Louis, young children from Montholon, also received a medal for having made gift packages and installing them to decorate the trees of the four delegated municipalities of Montholon, braving bad weather .
