The next generation of Nvidia’s desktop graphics cards is finally available. The company introduced four SKUs and made big claims about their performance. However, the presentation didn’t mention any actual specifications. These should appear on the Nvidia website soon and we will update this post as soon as they do.
Nvidia claims that the GeForce RTX 5070 is as good as the GeForce RTX 4090. Such claims are not new and have been made in every generation. But this time it might be possible thanks to DLSS 4, GDDR7 VRAM, and Nvidia’s new texture compression technology. And the best part is that it won’t cost that much. Here is the full price breakdown for each model.
- GeForce RTX 5090 : 1 999
- GeForce RTX 5080 : 999
- GeForce RTX 5070Ti :
- GeForce RTX 5070 : 549
The price of the GeForce RTX 5090 seems fair, given the announced increase in VRAM. The other GPUs are also reasonably priced, especially the RTX 5080 (GeForce), which was rumored to cost around $1,500. Nvidia indicates that these GPUs will be available sometime in January, but did not provide further details.
