Hyundai has just unveiled a new low-cost, 100% electric vehicle: the Creta. A small SUV that borrows features and design elements from the Ioniq family. But it will not be sold in Europe.

Hyundai Creta: a small electric SUV for India

Already available in a petrol version, the Creta gets a new lease of life with a 100% electric engine. It is in India, where it will be manufactured and marketed, that the small SUV was unveiled. The launch of the electric Hyundai Creta represents “ an important step » according to Tarun Garg, director of operations for the Seoul firm in India.

If Hyundai has already sold more than 1.1 million thermal Cretas in the largest country in the world, the electric version “ promises to redefine the market “. The electric Creta has new design elements similar to those of the Ioniq 5, including a new grille with the famous pixels.

This new SUV also comes with LED taillights, active air shutters, aerodynamic alloy wheels and low-resistance tires. In direct current (DC), the model promises to go from 10 to 80% recharge in 58 minutes. On an 11 kW charger, it will take 4 hours to recharge from 10-100%.
