Apprentice at the Pôle Formation Adour, Thibault won the gold medal in the “One of the Best Apprentices in France” competition

At the end of the Olympic year, the gold medals have a special flavor. And it is not Thibault Saint-Pasteur who will say the opposite. Registered since January for the 2024 edition competition, Thibault competed in the “Machining” category. His technical piece, the result of several weeks of intense work, combining turning and milling, won over the jury with its precision and engineering during the departmental and regional selections. Thibault was selected for the national competitions where he demonstrated his exceptional expertise and dedication to the machining profession by creating a piece in accordance with the theme imposed by the competition. The test also included a technical oral exam, demonstrating mastery of manufacturing processes and ability to explain methodological choices.

This national gold medal is a consecration for Thibault, but also for the company MGR Pyrénées (Hautes-Pyrénées), where he completed his apprenticeship. Now hired on a permanent contract in the same company, he continues his professional development as a qualified Operator, enriching his skills every day in a stimulating environment.

A precious recognition

In addition to his medal, Thibault was awarded a check for €500 offered by an industrial partner of the competition (Haas Automation) and by his company MGR Pyrénées in the form of exceptional bonuses, testifying to the sector’s interest in young people. talents. This distinction gives Thibault national recognition and reinforces his ambition to continue to progress in his profession. “As long as I’m still learning, I’m motivated,” he confides with humility.
