Timothée Chalamet definitely made a name for himself at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday evening.

The actor attracted attention not only on the red carpet, wearing Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford with Cartier jewelry, but also in the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton hotel.

Although Chalamet walked the red carpet alone, his girlfriend Kylie Jenner was later spotted sitting next to the actor inside. But before taking his seat, he was seen chatting with his A complete stranger the director, James Mangold, with other guests gathered around.

As the show began and host Nikki Glaser walked around the room, mocking the stars during her opening monologue, she finally arrived at Chalamet.

After joking that Tilda Swinton was nominated for her role as Chalamet, Glaser then exclaimed that the actor himself was “the biggest Timothée Chalamet this year too.” His joke was apparently in reference to the actor’s look-alike contest held in New York last year, during which Chalamet made a surprise appearance.

The actor, now looking at the Dune star, continued his jokes: “Can I just say you have the most beautiful eyelashes on your upper lip. I think that’s a really good overview.

As Chalamet laughed, Glaser praised him for his performance as Bob Dylan in A complete stranger. “In fact, I read that your voice was so precise that even Bob Dylan himself admitted it was absolutely horrible,” the host joked. She then pointed out that Chalamet is “so good at playing these beloved eccentrics,” including Dylan and Willy Wonka.

Glaser wondered who the actor might want to play next, but she already had an idea: Adam Sandler. “Actually, your name sounds like something Adam Sandler would say,” the host adds, before saying “Timothée Chalamet” in her best Sandler voice.

The camera then cuts to Merry Gilmore 2 actor, who in turn playfully pronounced Chalamet’s name.

Chalamet was nominated for best actor in a motion picture drama at Sunday’s ceremony for his role in A complete stranger. However, the prize ultimately went to Adrien Brody (The Brutalist).

The biopic, directed by Mangold, saw Chalamet transform into music legend Bob Dylan. The film follows the then-unknown 19-year-old musician as he arrives in New York in 1961 with his guitar and builds relationships with music icons during his meteoric rise, culminating in a groundbreaking performance that reverberates throughout the whole world.

Other category nominees who lost were Daniel Craig (Bizarre), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave) and Sébastien Stan (The apprentice).

The 82nd edition of the Golden Globes, hosted by actress Nikki Glaser, was held Sunday evening at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Find the full list of winners here and all the looks from the red carpet here.
