Every year, the most prestigious world cinema ceremonies do not fail to stir up reactions from Internet users. With many highlights, the 2025 Golden Globes are no exception to the rule.
On stage, one of the most powerful moments of the evening was the acceptance speech from Adrien Brody, who was awarded Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture for his performance in “The Brutalist.” The American actor could not contain his emotion when talking about his family, a source of inspiration and pride for him. He notably described this moment as one that he will “cherish forever”.
The delicious acting between Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley
On a lighter note, one of the best parts of the ceremony was the announcement of the Golden for best actor in a dramatic film, orchestrated by Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley. The two actresses from “The Substance” offered a little production in which they were very competitive. A magnificent tribute to their film and a passage much appreciated by the public.
Another speech marked the ceremony: that of Karla Sofía Gascón, who represented the “Emilia Pérez” team. The trophy for best musical or comedy film was first collected by French director Jacques Audiard, who, not knowing what to say and searching for words in English, passed the hand to the Spanish actress. The one who plays the main role in the film, that of Emilia Pérez, had particularly powerful words. She notably declared: “You can put us behind bars, you can beat us but you will never be able to take away our soul, our existence, our identity.”
“I feel a little weird, my wife and I took tequila shots”
The one who managed to provoke laughter from viewers and the public is undoubtedly Kieran Culkin. During his speech for his Golden for Best Supporting Actor in “A Real Pain,” he notably began by saying that he had “forgotten his entire speech” because of “the tequila shots” he drank with his wife during the evening. He went on to address himself and say, “Kieran, you’re doing great, this is a Golden Globe,” prompting laughter.
Vin Diesel also began his time on the Beverly Hills stage with a rather funny wink. He praised Dwayne Johnson, known as “The Rock”, while the two actors are known to have had a rather difficult relationship during the filming of the “Fast and Furious” films. A moment which did not fail to relax the atmosphere in the room at the Beverly Hilton and which confirms that relations between the two Hollywood stars have warmed up.
Even before the big evening began, two stars made headlines on the red carpet. These are Glen Powell and Timothée Chalamet, who had the idea of inviting the winners of their lookalike competition to the ceremony. The two almost actors therefore posed while displaying a humorous sign: “I won a look-alike contest and now I’m at the Golden Globes.”
