A turning point in the title race? Tolu Arokodare attracts interest from Champions League club – All football

Racing Genk fears the upcoming transfer window. Will the players highlighted in the first part of the season all stay?

In recent years, Genk have often lamented the departure of key players in winter, in the midst of the title fight. The examples of Alejandro Pozuelo or Paul Onuachu are still in everyone’s minds.

Racing wants to avoid that this winter but resisting greed will not be easy given the team’s first place and the remarkable performances of several Thorsten Fink executives.

Three Arokodares is therefore one of the coveted elements. The Nigerian colossus is quite simply the top scorer in the championship with thirteen goals.

More concerned this season?

According to Sacha Tavolieri and Foot Mercato, Arokodare is on the shelves of AS Monaco, currently third in Ligue 1 and very well on track to finish in the top 24 in the Champions League.

The Limburg striker is however not the priority, he is rather seen as an alternative to Mika Biereth, the center-forward of Sturm Graz, arrived from Arsenal and also author of a prolific first part of the season in Austria. The two players still have several years of contract (2.5 for Tolu, 3.5 for Biereth), it will not be easy to dislodge them in the coming weeks.
