All that glitters is not gold… but can be found on the red carpet of the 2025 Golden Globes. Sunday evening, in Hollywood, metallic shades and sequins dominated among the guests’ dresses. They even brought luck: Demi Moorein a dress that seemed to be made of liquid gold by Armani Privé, and Zoe Saldanain a Saint Laurent chocolate sheath, each left with a trophy, the first for best actress in a comedy and the second for best actress in a supporting role. Mikey Madisonnominated in the first category, opted for a golden dress by Bottega Veneta and Zendaya made another impression in a satin dress by Louis Vuitton. Same choice of creator for Cate Blanchettwho postponed a creation of Nicolas Ghesquières which we saw on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival last year.
The “best actress in a dramatic film” category is also full of metallic dresses: Nicole Kidmansculptural in a silver Balenciaga creation and Angelina Jolie covered in metallic Alexander McQueen threads.
