The officer allegedly responsible for the murder of two Chinese is the subject of prosecution by the Mwene-Ditu military prosecutor’s office on Friday January 3, 2025.
According to a press release, “The Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals informs the public that he has been seized by the case of homicide of two Chinese subjects in Mwene-Ditu, in the province of Lomami, by the brigadier in chef Kanyemesha Mutombo, Wednesday January 1, 2025.
As soon as he was informed, he gave the injunction to the superior auditor of Lomami in order to proceed with the arrest and prosecution of this police officer in flagrante delicto proceedings.”
Following this press release, the officer is the subject of a search notice launched by the investigating magistrate of the Mwene-Ditu military prosecutor’s office, Colonel Justin Birauzima, to find the police officer alleged to be responsible for the murder of two Chinese people.
Start of a manhunt
“… Please undertake active research to discover Chief Brigadier Mutombo Kanyemesha, alias “Bad-Bad”, police officer of the Mwene-Ditu Urban Police Station, prosecuted for murder of two Chinese subjects and attempted murder of another Chinese company Crec 6 » are the instructions of the magistrate.
In the facts reported by the various sources, on January 1, 2025, police officer Mutombo Kanyemesha allegedly shot three civilians of Chinese nationality from the CREC 6 company at point blank range, around 10 a.m.
This incident led to the death of two Chinese people and left the third with an injury to his left hand.
Sources indicate that “After his crime, the accused took an unknown destination. In case of discovery.”
They therefore recommend “apprehend him from the body and transport him under good escort to the Mwene-Ditu military prosecutor’s office or to the nearest police.”
The statement warns the public not to provide assistance to the wanted officer. The police can seize for criminal concealment any person who has housed, fed or accommodated the person sought, he indicates.
