Soulaiman Raissouni claimed to be on hunger strike for 122 days so as not to attend most of the hearings in his trial at first instance. Released from prison in excellent form, he rewrote history, insulted public figures, confided in media hostile to Morocco and became a civil party in the Belgian judicial investigation into Qatargate. All boxes are checked!
Another group! This time it is about “group of Moroccan victims of the corruption network in the European Parliament”. Are we at the end of ridiculousness?
“Soulaiman be reassured, we will continue the fight” : the interstellar void dares everything. “Tell the press he was close to death” : Kholoud Mokhtari, before the hearing before the Casablanca Court of Appeal, was already preparing the script with a few false lines. Soulaiman Raissouni knows, more than anyone, the identity of the intermediaries who used the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Human Rights Watch (HRW), Amnesty International (AI), Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and others to politicize a matter of common law. Not to mention the UN working group, “solicited”or rather privatized, for the time of this file. The group has “esteem[é] that the appropriate measure is to release [Raissouni] immediately” et “expresses serious concern about his physical and psychological well-being” After “a hunger strike from April to August 2021”who left him “many after-effects.” It is this web of vile lies that Raissouni relies on today to make his followers believe that he is innocent.
Boualem Sansal (75 years old) was not so lucky. He has no support committee even though he has been incarcerated since November 16, 2024. No one has defended him, except the French authorities, his friends and his publisher. Currently he is locked up in Algeria in appalling conditions. Khaled Drareni, the representative of Reporters Without Borders (RSF) in North Africa; Souhaieb Khayati, the director of RSF’s North Africa bureau, and Sherif Mansour, CPJ coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, are not accessible at this stage. Sansal: unprofitable business.
Soulaiman Raissouni (who speaks to us about a fair trial), knowingly avoided his trial at first instance, from February to July 2021. Before the court of appeal, he denied having “any relationship” with the complainant, an activist for the rights of sexual minorities who accuses him (supporting evidence) of having “harassed, kidnapped and assaulted.”. No victim, no crime! “I have nothing to do with these documents”he argued, while the audio extract which stores his voice exists.
In great shape, after a hunger strike of… 122 days
The lawyers had warned about his state of health and his conditions of detention, “who do not respect basic rights”according to them. On July 30, the world learned the truth. Not only does he enjoy excellent health, but he demonstrates that he is unstoppable: he insults Barlamane.com, defames Aïcha Guellaâ, president of the Association for Victims’ Rights (AMVD), erases his victim in all interviews which he gives to complacent microphones. Worse, he is preparing outrageous attacks against the Moroccan authorities in the context of Qatargate, an empty file.
The prison administration (DGAPR) has always made it known that Soulaiman Raissouni had refused to attend the trial. She accused him of “seek to deceive public opinion by observing a pseudo-hunger strike.” As for the prosecution, it considered that the postponements of the Raissouni trial were linked to his defense strategy, “either for different reasons [donc fallacieux]either to prepare his defense or for health reasons.” Who will listen to the sovereign institutions? Who will condemn these guilty attempts to subjugate justice to politics, which offend all rights and destroy all guarantees? This is how we learn that if the forms have been violated, it is essentially the fault of those who claim to stick to them, namely Soulaiman Raissouni and his accomplices.
