After funnel evaluations, Ulysse, Marine, Franck and Charles presented themselves to the public on TF1, this Saturday January 4 in order to seek a place in the semi-final of the Star Academy. If the networks had mourned the defeat of Marguerite last week, the departure of Ulysse after seven nominations was rather well received.
The miracle did not take place for Ulysses this Saturday, January 4. The student who was named begged his audience to take him further, he failed to mobilize his troops. It was Franck, Charles and Marine who qualified and therefore joined Ebony – immunized thanks to the funnel evaluations – in the semi-final. It must be said that Ulysse hardly had the time or inspiration to win the evaluations which took place at the start of the week.
The young Marseillais was eliminated at the end of the first test, where he did not shine either through his inspiration or his talent as a dancer. This poor performance by the budding artist paradoxically put him on a podium which he would have done well without. With seven nominations, Ulysse is indeed catching up with Jean-Pascal Lacoste, immortal interpreter of the Agitator who was nominated six times during the first season of the show in 2001. During the evening, many fans of the show even lobbied on the networks to make him come out, even going so far as to wish that the young man would make a Pierre Nesta-style outing. As a reminder, the candidate of season 3 had – after a breathtaking performance on a song by Queen – decided to leave the Star Academy. “I’m not waiting for my freedom to be given back to me, I’m taking it” the candidate had said to a panicked and stunned Nikos.
Ulysses did not give up his arms, but the public made him give in. And he did not hesitate to rejoice once the much-hoped-for verdict was announced. “So Ulysses, we felt untouchable?” “Ulysse won’t be able to release his composition for a year, I’m crazy, it’s a double win!” “The endless recycling of Ulysses is over, the villagers have finally eliminated the werewolf”, “Ulysses, he is going to need good psychological follow-up when he leaves because he thinks he is the future Pierre Garnier whilehe is the new Georges Alain” made fun of many Internet users on X. The misfortune of some makes the happiness of others…
