Don’t rule out a possible return of Primeau

Don’t rule out a possible return of Primeau

Did we count Cayden Primeau as beaten a little too quickly? What if the goalkeeper simply needed playing time to find his bearings?

Friday night, the American made his debut with the Rocket, stopping 27 pucks in a 2-1 victory against the Abbotsford Canucks at Place Bell, in front of three general managers of the National Hockey League.

Guest on the Quebec Matin show on LCN on Saturday, the describer of the Rocket matches on BPM Sports, Anthony Marcotte, gave a rather optimistic speech about Primeau, who was awarded the first star the day before.

“It’s a step back for him in his career, but he will benefit from ice time in an environment that he knows very well,” he recalled, well aware that Primeau spent four years in Laval in the American League.

And nothing excludes a return to Montreal by the end of the season.

“Barely 40 minutes separate him from the Canadiens at the Bell Center if we eventually need him. If it continues like it happened yesterday, there won’t be any problem for him, that’s for sure.”

See Anthony Marcotte’s full intervention in the video above. It is also about the setbacks of Logan Mailloux.
