The second round of the Kings League Football World Cup, a unique combination of sports, entertainment and the world of streaming initiated by former FC Barcelona player Gerard Pique, concluded this Saturday with Brazil and with Colombia securing their place in the quarter-finals, while South Korea and Ukraine were eliminated.
In an emphatic display, Brazil crushed Germany 9-2 to advance to the quarter-finals, where they await their next opponent, who will be determined by a draw. Meanwhile, the European team will face Mexico in the Last Chance round on Monday; the winner will progress to the next round, while the loser will leave the tournament, currently underway in Milan.
Later, Peru, having managed to go through the losers’ round after its initial defeat, triumphed 4-3 against South Korea, winning a match against Uzbekistan in the Last Chance round on Monday, while the Asian nation was eliminated.
Colombia edged Turkey 3-2 with a golden goal to secure their place in the quarter-finals, while the Europeans face Spain this Sunday in the Last Chance. Additionally, Morocco crushed Ukraine 9-2 and will compete against Japan tomorrow for a chance to advance; unfortunately, the Ukrainians are eliminated.
So, this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (Uruguay time), Japan will face Morocco for a place in the quarter-final. At 3:00 p.m., Turkey will face Spain, while two other matches are scheduled for Monday: Uzbekistan vs. Peru at 2:00 p.m. and Germany vs. Mexico at 3:00 p.m.
The four winners will advance to the quarter-finals, joining Argentina, the United States, Brazil and Colombia. The four losers will return home, following in the footsteps of Italy, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Ukraine.
