Press conference day for Luis Enrique before the match against AS Monaco in the Champions Trophy tomorrow in Doha.
The Paris Saint-Germain coach was notably questioned about his state of mind regarding the situation in the Champions League. The Rouge et Bleu are 25th in the league phase, and therefore potentially eliminated before facing Manchester City and VfB Stuttgart. Despite everything, Luis Enrique says he is calm.
“In the Champions League, I am calm about our performances. I liked what I saw and I have the feeling that we will continue to progress. It is clear that our results are not fair but it’s football. Our mentality is to want more and to improve.” says Enrique.
Tomorrow, PSG has the opportunity to win their first trophy of the season, an important goal for Luis Enrique. “My ambition is the same as every season. We want to win every trophy, that’s the goal. It’s very difficult of course but we’re excited.”
As a reminder, Paris beat Monaco on December 18 at Louis II (2-4). Enrique returned to this match. “The match against Monaco was an excellent match for the supporters. We had control from the start.
