Towards further winter weather between Wednesday and Thursday?

After the rain, here comes the snow! A depression will cross the country between Wednesday and Thursday, causing a real conflict of air masses in its passage. Thus, the disturbance which will move towards the north of the territory on Wednesday will encounter cold air and the rain could well turn into snow from Normandy to the north of the Seine.

These winter conditions will shift eastwards on Thursday while showers will take over at the back. The parade of disturbances will continue on Friday with the arrival of more rain from the west, followed by showers on Saturday.

During this period, the Mediterranean regions will remain away from precipitation due to the presence of the mistral and the tramontane. Conditions will continue to dry out on Sunday, possibly marking a lasting return of the anticyclone. Until then, temperatures will be wintry, but not excessive with light frosts upon waking and maximums progressing with difficulty during the day.
