The first weekend of 2025 will be rainy in Ille-et-Vilaine. Given the expected weather conditions, the department has been placed on yellow rain-flood alert by Météo France. The alert will be effective from Saturday January 4 at 3 p.m. to Sunday January 5, 2022 at 4 p.m.

Uncertainties about expected accumulations
If for the moment there are uncertainties surrounding the forecast of the expected accumulations, very heavy rains are expected in the territory. Bretillians are therefore invited to remain cautious and obtain information before traveling. They must also respect the detours put in place. Furthermore, they are strongly recommended not to walk or drive on a submerged route and not to approach watercourses or areas that are flooded or usually flooded.
Note that unlike Thursday January 2, the department has not been placed on yellow alert for flood risks. The website vigicrues.gouv.fr emphasizes that there is no particular vigilance required.
