Météo France today placed the Côte d’Or department on alert for a risk of freezing rain from 3 p.m. until approximately midnight. Ces freezing rain could lead to conditions of difficult traffic on this last weekend of school holidays.
The perturbation in question will cross the department and could cause slippery phenomena snow-ice before the warm weather sets in during the night from Saturday to Sunday.
Softening this Sunday
Be careful if you take the road for this first weekend of 2025, Météo France also announces a risk of snow and ice for around sixty departments in the territory.
“A disturbance associated with a lot of mild air will sweep across the entire country in a southwest/northeast direction this Saturday and overnight from Saturday to Sunday. In the departments in orange, this disturbance will encounter a mass of cold air, causing snowfall and especially freezing rain for a few hours, until the mild air gains definitively,” indicates the Météo meteorologists’ bulletin.
