The departments concerned are: Aisne, Pas-de-Calais, Nord, Oise, Seine-Maritime, Somme, Marne, Ardennes, Meuse, Haute-Marne, Vosges, Haut -Rhin, Bas-Rhin, Territoire de Belfort, Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle. At 10 a.m., the departments of Orne, Eure-et-Loir, Eure, Côte-d’Or, Aube, Haute-Saône and Île-de-France joined the list.

Be careful on the road back from vacation this weekend. Thirty departments in France were placed on orange snow and ice alert this Saturday, January 4, by Météo-France.
The departments concerned are: Aisne, Pas-de-Calais, Nord, Oise, Seine-Maritime, Somme, Marne, Ardennes, Meuse, Haute-Marne, Vosges, Haut -Rhin, Bas-Rhin, Territoire de Belfort, Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle. At 10 a.m., the departments of Orne, Eure-et-Loir, Eure, Côte-d’Or, Aube, Haute-Saône and Île-de-France joined the list.
“A disturbance associated with a lot of mild air will sweep across the entire country in a southwest and northeast direction” et “come to encounter a mass of cold air”, thus causing snowfall “and especially freezing rain” pendant “a few hours”, this Saturday but also during the night from Saturday to Sunday, specifies the forecast agency in its bulletin.
