BASKETBALL – At 40, LeBron James continues to impress. Currently in his 22nd season in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers star reached a new level this Thursday, January 2. During the regular season match against the Portland Trail Blazers, “King” James scored at least 30 points for the 562nd time in his career, tying the record held by a certain Michael Jordan.

In the Lakers’ 114-106 victory, LeBron James scored a total of 38 points and delivered 8 assists, as we can see in the video below summarizing his match.
While he has just turned forty on December 30, this season he presents statistics almost never seen for a player of his age, after around thirty matches: 35 minutes of play – as many as during his 2015 season. -16, when he was barely thirty years old for example -, 23.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 8.9 assists, his third best career season for the latter category.
And in a particularly tough Western conference, his Lakers team has a mixed but nonetheless honorable record of 19 victories for 14 defeats, placing it in sixth place.
Remember that this season, Lebron James has the honor of playing with his son, Bronny, 20 years old. But the appearances of both players at the same time on the floor remain extremely rare. Bronny James has only taken part in seven Lakers games so far, for an average playing time of three minutes. This was more or less planned before the start of the season, with the young player having to develop at the same time in the G-League, the NBA’s development league.
