The end of the ordeal is fast approaching for FTX.com clients who have chosen the United States procedure. We told you a few days agothe distribution of funds should begin January 3 next. If you are one of those who need to get money back, you should definitely choose before this date the platform on which it will be paid to you. Let's see together how to proceed.

The following procedure only concerns you if you were a customer of FTX.com and you opted for the United States procedure in step 6 of the claims process.
If this is your case, you must have received the following email a few days ago.
If you were a customer of Ftx.eu or chose the Bahamas procedure, you will still have to wait to find out when and how you will receive your money.
First step: connect to the claims platform
As with the previous steps, everything happens on the platform developed especially for claims, claims.ftx.com (1). You must now be used to it! Log in by choosing the FTX.com platform at the bottom left of your screen (2).
In case you still haven't completed step 7 regarding your tax information, it's not too late to do so. If necessary, you can consult this article which will guide you on the procedure to follow.
Second step: choose a platform
Click on “Step 8” (1) to choose the platform on which you want to receive your money.
You will see the different choices appear after entering your country of residence (2). Currently, only BitGo et Kraken are available. While it is possible that a third choice will appear soon, it is not a certainty at the moment.
To be able to receive your money on one of these platforms, you must have an account there. opened with the same email address as for FTX (3).
Take the time to compare the platforms before making your choice (we present Kraken's mobile applications here). It cannot be modified once validatedas stated in box (4). If you do not yet have an account on BitGo or Kraken, we advise you to register on the platform of your choice BEFORE submitting your choice to FTX. Make sure your account is 100% operational (KYC validated, etc.) before validating and moving on to the next step.
Step Three: Link Your Accounts
Once the platform of your choice has been selected, you will need to link to your FTX claim. To do this, click on “Proceed to Kraken” (or “Proceed to BitGo”) which will take you to your exchange’s login page.
Log in and link your accounts by following the few steps that will appear on your screen (example for Kraken below).
The trick is played, all you have to do is wait ! You can verify that the account association is registered on FTX.claim by checking that step 8 has turned green (1).
If FTX announces in its email that the distribution of funds should begin on January 3, 2025, Kraken is much broader on the deadlines. As you can see in the screenshot above, it says that you can expect to receive the funds from FTX within the next six months.
An email should be sent to you to let you know when this is done. If you don't yet know what you are going to do with this money which almost was lost for good, do not hesitate to frequently consult the pages of our journal which could help you find the next nugget!
